Grinch Movie Night

How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It’s a classic! A Christmas movie we’re sure to watch every holiday season. We spend most of our weekend evenings watching Christmas movies during the month of December. So I thought it would be super fun to have a themed movie night featuring none other than, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Not only is a themed movie night fun at the time, it’s special nights like these that create memories to last a lifetime!

Setting up your Table

I started this little movie night with a small table that I purchased at Costco a few years back and a red plastic tablecloth. I actually had some wrapping paper on hand that had the “Grinch colors” so I thought that would make an extra cute runner down the center of my table. If I hadn’t found the wrapping paper, I would have purchased a yard of fabric that goes with our theme. I actually prefer using fabric because if it gets dirty, you can throw it in the wash and re-use it over & over! Plus, the patters are endless. I bought these cute tissue pom poms to hang overhead and my favorite touch.. This super cute and easy to make tissue tinsel garland! Check out my blog post here for easy instructions!

Grinch Juice

The Grinch Juice was my favorite treat! It’s requires 3 ingredients, it’s super simple to make and looks so FUN and vibrant! To make your own Grinch Juice, you’ll need 1 packet of lime kool-aid, 1 small jar of maraschino cherries, and red sanding sugar.

  • Make your lime Kool-aid as directed, set aside
  • With a lemon wedge, coat the rim of your glass then dip the wet rim into your red sugar

Grinch Popcorn

You may have seen this stuff floating around the web for some time now. Although I can’t take credit for coming up with this adorable treat, I will share with you the page where I found the full recipe, below.

The original recipe calls for red M&M’s. I was having a hard time finding only red M&M’s so I went with a different red & green candy instead. I put the popcorn in these cute little plastic tumblers that I ALWAYS have on hand for these kinds of things!

//Please ignore my “Mary Lou” sign.. it was a long day! hahaha!//

The best part is, you can package up the leftovers in a cellophane baggy & ribbon, and hand them out as thoughtful treats for friends!

Whoville Puddin’

Now I know what you’re thinking.. This isn’t pudding. I went back & forth on whether or not to make jello or pudding and obviously jello won! This jello treat was so cute and super easy to make. Literally all you’ll need to do is prepare you green lime jello, pour it into your little plastic tumblers, & let them set. Right before serving, top with a little whipped cream and sprinkles!

I found these adorable plastic spoons that I wanted to use so right after I poured the jello into the tumblers, I set the spoons in. This way the jello sets around the spoons!

If you’re not a Jello fan. Go with green pudding instead!
